Our faculty affirms the inspiration, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Old and New Testaments.

We hold that the Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.

 

We believe that the meaning of Scripture must be learned by comparing Scripture with Scripture and through the faithful and accurate interpretation of each text and not by appeals to human tradition or private revelations.

Our faculty subscribes to the Westminster Confession of Faith, one of the great confessions of the Reformation, as a very accurate and faithful summary of what the Bible teaches.

 

The Confession teaches, among many other truths, the five Solas of the Reformation:  Scripture Alone, Christ Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, and to God Alone be the Glory.

We take the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ very seriously.  Therefore, we believe that missionary work worldwide—in addition to doctrinal purity, confessional integrity, and God-centered worship in our own congregations—is one of the church’s top priorities.  Hence, it goes without saying that every Christian, whatever their vocation and calling in this world, ought to be serious and passionate about presenting the message of salvation to people everywhere, especially to those in their own circles (such as family members, coworkers, next-door and nearby neighbors, and friends).

We recognize that heavenly or spiritual matters have priority over earthly ones.  Nevertheless, we affirm that all of life is under God’s marvelous domain. Therefore, we are to do all things, including the ordinary, earthly things in this present world, to the glory of God (I Corinthians 10:31, WLC #1, WSC #1). God commands and desires that people do all things for His glory (not merely in church, on the Lord’s Day, or during spiritual or ecclesiastical activities).
